Hi home and traveling team!

Just a few notes as we are preparing to leave for SSM this weekend (can you believe it's so soon?!?!)
  1. If you want to bring any crafts or games to share with the kids at the Kid's Club, please do so!  I know you are all fresh outta VBS, so you must remember all the songs, hand motions and maybe even some skits?  One simple craft that I did while we were in Taiwan was bead cross key chains... I'll try to bring some of those and teach you guys how to make them so that we can share them with others.

  2. Heather, our site director invited us to bring any snacks that we might like to share with the children at Kid's club.  Please talk with your parents about this and see if you would like to bring something to share.  Let me know if you would be interested in doing this.  It doesn't have to be a lot or enough to feed an army.  Anything would be nice.

  3. You will need to have some type of work gloves.  Just something that will protect your hands if we have to lift or carry things.  I think you could probably even get these at the dollar store.  We're not sure what we'll be doing yet, but it will be better to prepare for anything.

  4. The evening activities Youthworks has prepared for us will cost $10.  Please make sure that you have this with you.  And reminder: please don't bring a lot of cash with you!

  5. Prayer request from Heather, the site director from youthworks: pray for open eyes for the staff and the kids and to have the mindset of being able to make a difference.

  6. They picked up the new van yesterday!  So now the old "new" van must be demoted to ghetto van.  =P

  7. Pray for Larry who is also leading a youth small missions team to Vermont with Youthworks the same week we are in SSM.

  8. Be at church at 8:45am this Sunday!
Lots of people are praying for you guys!  Let's get excited and prepare our hearts to serve and glorify God!  =)

All are welcome!

SnL MISSIONS TRAINING #4
Sunday, June 24 at 1pm
Meeting is mandatory for traveling team!

All release/liability/insurance forms were due 2 WEEKS AGO.
YOU MUST bring them in on Saturday or Sunday!!!

Friday, May 25, 2007

There will be no formal SnL meeting this Friday night!  For those of you still at church because your parents are, you should still get together and fellowship!

A reminder for the traveling team for missions: money/covenant/releases forms were due LAST WEEK and MUST be turned in this Sunday if you have not already done so!

Finally... Memorial Day is a holiday in remembrance of those who have died in our nation's service.  Please remember to lift up a prayer to those who are serving our country and those who have given their lives serving.

Enjoy your long weekend!
